This little girl was found as a stray and was facing euthanasia, but we saw something special in that goofy little face and decided to save her. One of her hind legs is missing a foot - the vet thinks that this happend quite some time ago and while we can't speculate as to what happened, losing a foot could not have been pleasant. Despite this slight deformity, Junibug is a virtual firecracker - she hops around like a Kangaroo at the speed of light and gives the dogs in her foster home a run for their money. She is a constant source of entertainment, trying to engage dogs more than 4 times her size in play and when the dogs decline, she starts in on the cats. Some of them will actually romp and frolick with her, which is as comical as it is endearing.

Juniper is very energetic and quite smart - she was housebroken within 2 days and only needs to be corrected once for any infraction such as chewing on inappropriate items. She is also extremely good natured and forgiving - nothing at all irritates her. The ideal home for this goofy little dog would be a family with children, cats and another dog or dogs who can give as good as they get. If you've ever considered getting a large dog but felt that this might be too much to take on, take a look at this dynamo in a small package.
